The weather has turned warmer (or HOT here in FL) and Adventures In Missions summer trips are about to begin. The first trips start on Saturday and the adventures have begun already. Let me describe for you the day so far…

My phone rang at 6:45AM. A co-worker was on the line. Heather, one of the people flying out to New Mexico today, did not have confirmed tickets. I rush off to my computer and pull up her itinerary. It's clearly been confirmed by the travel agent. Why didn't the airline show it as reserved? I forward the email to my co-worker. She calls back...the airline on Heather's copy was Continental; my record showed American. The airline offers to let Heather fly stand-by later in the day. The is only 1 seat available. We're praying she makes it...

Meanwhile, I check my inbox to see an urgent email from the worship leader, Brandon, scheduled to fly to New Mexico this morning too. We had booked his flight through Orbitz and they were supposed to mail him a paper ticket. He didn't receive it. He tried to get a seat with the printed itinerary. The airline wouldn't allow that. Orbitz verified the address the ticket was sent to and signed for by "Hill". Brandon had never heard of that address. I didn't recognize the name. A new ticket would cost over $1000. I call Brandon and check the address I had written down...Nope, he'd never heard of it. I was almost certain that was the address he had given me over the phone just before I booked his flight 2 weeks ago.

Where did I get this address? Was he crazy? Or was I??

I looked up the unknown address online. "No matches found"
Did this place exsist? Where are the tickets? I got on the phone with Orbitz to find out our options. Our best bet was for Brandon to fill out a lost ticket application, buy a new ticket today, and in 4 months they would reimburse the new ticket minus a fee. I call my supervisor at AIM to make sure that was OK. I looked up Brandon's number on my notepad, dialed, and woke up a sleeping man
.
How did he fall into such a deep sleep already? I just talked to him 5 min ago? Is this guy a flake??

to be continued...
